Motivation & Co Reading provides specialist recreation
and motivation classes for the elderly. Our classes are carried out in Nursing and
Residential Homes and have been designed to help residents maintain or improve their
emotional and physical well-being. Each class lasts ONE hour and includes the following
four sections:
- Stimulation and Interaction
- Chair based exercise
- Motivation games
- Relaxation/Music Therapy
The benefits to the Care Home are that you are working in partnership with a National
Award winning UK company with a proven track record of success, supported by committed
and trained Therapists who are fully engaged in company ethos though continuous
training and development.
Meet Sue Barlow
"Motivation & Co. Reading was launched in September 2008 following the opportunity given to me by an inheritance
from my great aunt. Her care, attention, love, and laughter featured largely in my life while I was growing up, and this
franchise is an expression of my thanks."
"My HR training, sales and admin skills, together with voluntary work experience with the elderly and people with
learning disabilities, make this the ideal business for me especiallly as I have a keen interest in health and fitness
too."
"I have built the business up over the last two and a half years and now deliver Motivation & Co. classes in 30
care homes in and around Reading, Bracknell, Basingstoke, Newbury and Henley. It is deeply satisfying to see continued and
growing interest in Motivation & Co. Reading with no loss of business in the present economic climate."
"The classes are great fun but particularly noteworthy is the unique structure of the Motivation & Co. class
which has a striking effect on residents with Dementia."
Testimonials
>>Carolyn Padwick, Deputy Manager, Jasmine House, Reading
"Sue's Motivation Class is very enjoyable, and everyone benefits in their own way; if not
from the mental stimulation section then from the exercises, games, and music. Sue takes the
time to develop a rapport with each resident so that she becomes a familiar and reassuring
person visiting the home.
"
>>Premila Juggurnauth, Deputy Manager, The Boltons, Reading
"Sue's Motivation Classes are a lot of fun. The residents are sleepy when Sue arrives
but soon in a party mood and wide awake by the time she leaves. The classes encourage
good group interaction.
"
>>Fiona Honeyman, Manager, Lovat House, Wokingham
"The residents really look forward to Sue's Motivation Classes. Sue's approach to the
residents, and her knowledge of their individual needs is excellent.
"
>>Anne Davies, Deputy Manager, Parkview, Reading
"Sue provides an enjoyable afternoon of activities.
