Motivation & Co delivers classes to care homes and residents. Each class caters for the individual requirements of the care homes and individual residents. Each class is one hour long and consists of four sections. The aim of each class is to stimulate and motivate residents within our target audience both mentally and physically. The four sections are:

  1. Stimulation Section: This section aims to encourage social interaction. This is achieved through word association games and quizzes we also offer an alternative activity for disabled residents (i.e. those who may be deaf or cannot speak), so they are still able to interact with the group. This section is used at the beginning as it mentally stimulates the minds of residents making them more alert and prepared for physical motivation and exercises.
  2.

  3. Chair Exercises: This section aims to improve circulation and mobilise joints of individual residents. This is gained through the use of exercise and breathing techniques.
  4.

  5. Motivation Game: This section tests the visual acuity, physical co-ordination and mental agility of individuals. This section is based upon the Motivation & Co game and is specifically designed to encourage and facilitate group interaction. Alternatively the game is multi-functional in that it provides more than one game to sustain entertainment value. This game also helps the motivational therapists to assess and monitor residents, as they are able to see significant improvements in the physical dexterity of individuals.
  6.

  7. Relaxation/Music Therapy: The end of the class contains a unique relaxation session, which effectively works as a cool down from activity for the residents. Alternatively, there are various music compilations from Ocean sounds to War songs, which many residents enjoy as a form of relaxation. The music also provides a source of entertainment as many individuals like to sing along too.
